Awareness of farm health and safety and Occupational Health and Safety legislation is a priority for Farm Safety Nova Scotia.? It is our goal to ensure that the farm community understands the risks associated with farming as well as the regulatory requirements that apply to their farming operations. A recent survey done in March 2014 indicated that 45% of respondents were aware that the Occupational Health and Safety Act and regulations apply to their farms. This awareness has almost doubled since 2010 when Farm Safety Nova Scotia was formed.
